Papad Nu Shaak (Papad Subzi)

Ingredients:
5 Papads (preferably black pepper lijjat papad )
2 Garlic cloves,crushed
1 Green Chilli
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 cups of water
1/2 tsp oil
chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
Method:
- Heat oil in a kadai
- Put cumin seeds, cut green chillies and crushed garlic cloves
- Put 2 cups of water
- Cut the raw papad into small pieces. Once the water starts boiling, put the papad pieces. Add salt to taste.
- Cook it till papad becomes soft. Add water if required.
- Garnish with coriander leaves
Tastes good with jeera rice or parathas.
You can put some chopped onions and sev and serve it as a snack also.
Tip:
If you want some gravy in your subzi, add some more water and cook for a little longer. You will be able see to fine consistency.

being jain i had eaten it before but it was not as tasty as today now i will eat it regularly.keep writing such great receipes.and i will make it and eat it.
wow.my mom allways used to make this papad subji.only differnce i can see here missed onion.if you add onion while you make this then it will become more tasty.make sure you add onion when you make this.yummm...
My wife makes papad subji occasionally specially on Rainy days in evening for dinner.However she uses nothing then some fried onions.if you have mix papads with different flavors you really don't need anything to add.BEWARE:-If you have high blood pressure try to not to eat too much and too often as it contains lots of salt that is not good for high blood pressure patients.
